games, sleep

Action movies aren't particularly restful as dreams. I had three in a row recently, and I didn't want to go back to sleep after some of them. One of them had a portable panic room that was also a bathroom cubicle (kind of like ones I've seen on trains) and two malevolent but somewhat incompetent men who wanted to capture and/or dispose of me, because I'd noticed what they were up to. My dad made a cameo as a person who didn't understand what was going on, was still active and mobile and able to wreak havoc, but was doing the exact wrong thing under the circumstances.

The wheat-pillow that Ev gave me is a bit too heavy and a bit too warm for an ideal eye mask (it was intended as a microwave-to-heat neck entity) but it does help a lot with the process of lying down intending to sleep but having my eyes pop open when I get bored with doing nothing.

Belovedest's siblings proposed fun with games, and that was good. I took my meds around the first sign of stiff neck, and was able to sit up all game. Yay, me!

Gems of War: in service of attempting to raise gold for the new underworld faction, I did a lot of PvP, and somewhere in there I decided to see what tier, exactly, I could arrive at with a little diligence. At 8,000-some PvP points, I'm somewhere in the 600 tier at the moment. We'll see what I can get to by the end of tomorrow. My general goal is to collect as many of the purple ingots as I can reasonably get. We're within 170 purple ingots of leveling all the purple tier weapons. (I am good at farming Legendary and Mythic ingots, so all of those weapons are fully leveled. We're waiting on more Cursed Runes to get Dark Smith Drenza, then we can work on leveling the Cursed tier of weapons as well.) If I got to give past-me advice on ingot strategy, I'd say to keep several weapons' worth of grey, green, and blue ingots held back so you'll be ready to fulfill goals for leveling weapons for specific kingdoms, but to go hard on the purple weapons and craft every lower ingot in excess of that stash into purple. Converting purple into Legendary isn't worth it if you have a Delve that you can go through like butter; Sarah (I think) said to leave one of the delve factions at a low level but a high horde so you can get some cheap and easy resources out of it.

Right now Belovedest is addressing themselves to the new faction, and just got a troop taken out by Death Touch. Alas.
