A surprisingly productive wash
This morning when I woke up I considered things, considered my throat, and told Belovedest that perhaps I was not getting out of bed today.
I did eventually emerge, and got a surprising amount of tabs gone through and organized. I also made a large teapot of the Hit Me In The Sinuses With Whatever Mint You've Got tisane. Might be allergies, might not be, but either way my sinuses, throat, and lungs are cranky. Particularly that post-nasal feeling that you might drown in snot at any minute but coughing doesn't help.
Unusually, Belovedest went out and got groceries without me. This was largely successful except on the sushi front; they were unable to read my mind the first time and the rolls were California-ish (solid krab instead of shredded with sauce), California with Cronch outside, and shrimp with egg. The reader who has had sushi with me recently may be aware that I may be allergic to shrimp, I am averse to egg, and will request no krab plz for things I order. I did not name the two California-adjacent rolls as such, which in retrospect was a tactical error. They went back out in search of rootbeer barrels for Alex (and sushi); the rootbeer barrel part of the exercise was successful, and upon their return we learned that Surimi is another name for the fake crab that I am avoiding. (California rolls.)
Belovedest also suggested that I perhaps did not mean "petit escalier" on the list, and returned (correctly) with LU petit ecolier biscuits.
It might be time to do some earthworks for the (smaller) paddle pool, since it's been warming up but also soggy AF on the lawn. The Ladies Next Door are very curious when someone comes up to their fence.
