Life is too short and love is too long
We have finished reading the (currently 3 books of) Locked Tomb series! Via audiobook on various long drives. Today we finished Nona the Ninth.
I think the reason my eyes start streaming tears at the scene where my subject quote comes from is the same reason I sometimes cry at weddings. It's big and important to get right.
I also have a new appreciation of the absolutely fantastic family fight in the last little bits, where basically everyone is shouting about various kinds of betrayal and the sorts of things you fight about when you've all known each other all too well over enough time to get super mad about it.
Also also Pyrrha doing her best to Be a Parent keeps on hitting me.
At the Loading of the Megatruck, as one particular character is mentioned, I solemnly said "Most important character in the book." And Belovedest agreed, because that character is Important just on the face of things.
After that character plays the role that they do in everything not going as completely sideways as it all could have gone, I gave Belovedest a significant look as we unloaded ourselves to go pick up the salad that hadn't gotten into the grocery bags yesterday. "Most important character in the book."
I'd be Juno Zeta for Halloween but my braid's gone and I don't think they make clipboards with thumb spikes.
