Heh. You know, oddly enough, I flirt with *most* of my friends, and I don't think I ever have with you, and that seems suddenly, distinctly, ODD. I'll have to think about it. I'm certainly not *averse* to flirting with you. ;)
Worked out a lot while basically not eating very much at all. For a fairly long period of time. I won't go into specific numbers of calories but it wasn't a good idea. It might not be permanently screwed but I won't know until I get further into my current fitness experiment.
Not eating enough, in and of itself, triggers your body to believe there is some sort of famine, so it lowers the metabolism and burns less calories/fat. This is less true if you eat very little but spaced out into several small "meals" throughout the day (as I normally did) than if you just go long periods of time without eating , but either way, it catches up to you eventually and your basal metabolic rate (BMR) drops, which means the amount of calories your body burns just in the process of existing drops.
My dumb ass thought I was going to prevent this from happening by working out (since working out raises your body temperature and, normally, your metabolism, because it increases the body's need for energy, aka calories and builds muscle, which helps your body burn more calories as well, even when you're at rest). I don't know *why* my dumb ass thought this, because what *actually* happens is that the body realizes its ratio of energy intake (calories from food) to energy expenditure is even lower than it would be if you just were not eating enough but NOT working out, so it drops the metabolism even more, AND starts metabolizing muscle instead of fat (in order to get what it needs to function), which in turn *further* lowers your metabolism since having muscle is one of the things that allows you to burn fat/calories.
So, basically, I was a big dumbass. I was pretty skinny, too. The problem is if you ever decide to increase your caloric intake, you will gain weight like a mofo because your metabolism is so low. And it gets pretty hard to maintain a vry low caloric intake with a high activity level because it starts making
(crap... it cut off the rest of my long-ass comment)... meant to say that it starts making you feel like crap. And usually then it makes you binge because your body is still craving all the stuff it isn't getting. And then if you binge, you gain like crazy because your metabolism is so low.
I don't remember what else I said but that's about enough since this has gotten so long.

Monday-Thursday saw a five pound weight loss, as I hadn't been eating enough.
