Dynamics, lunch
Votania said that she'd be showing up with a wand for Dawn's birthday. What she didn't say was that she'd be showing up en masse with
marxdarx and Nephew, and forming a small gang saying hello to
ralmathon (who is still single!) in the computer lab, waiting for Dawn to show.
There was giggling while waiting in the cafeteria (the class going on in lab looked a bit disturbed, so we left when Neighbor got off work), and much silliness between Marx and Votania. If she picks at her face, we'll make her wear makeup! That triggered a staring contest. I won because Marx poked Votania, causing her to lose her concentration. That might not have been necessary, as it was I [Dagger] doing the staring...
I introduced Kurt to the gang as the Defense Against The Dark Arts professor, and Neighbor qualified that he was the cool werewolf one from Book #3.
Marx decided to go rock shopping rather than joining us for lunch, so the delegation from home departed. We'd already said hello to Miss Ironwood, and Mrs. Yeager (Juli Brown) said hello as well. (It's weird when people from your class group get married.)
Dawn and Neighbor and I did lunch at Fuddrucker's. Much fun: much discussion of vampires. Neighbor asked nosy questions about social dynamics and got eyes rolled at him. Darkside's potential new job was discussed. It was determined that none of us were overly concerned about the topic of rescheduling the party. We're thinking Friday night rather than Thursday, to better fit with Darkside's probable new job.
Mmm, gotta love me a Darkside.
