ralmathon and his friends had an ongoing joke about how the Civil War would take place were it happening in Alaska. It's too cold to fight in the winter, you see, and in the summer no one would want to, so...
...In the winter, the two sides would be stationed at home by the phones with a phone list of the opposite side. They'd call the other guys up.
