I really wish there was a better way of doing things than having him moved out to the couch when he's already asleep.

He eventually came to see sleeping on the couch as a sort of vacation or slumber party event, and it was one of the things that got taken away if he was in trouble. Then his bed moved out to the living room when we got that metal futon frame.
