Tantrums

We've been getting a lot more in the way of blowups from Nephew. Not sure what's up. Time for some industrial-strength ignoring.

(Even one screaming crying hitting the wall tantrum in two weeks is a LOT.)

When our kids did that, it was usually frustration because their desire to do new things was outstripping their actual ability. Ignoring was definitely the way to go for us (it gets harder when you have three kids and the youngest two share a room, though).

In this specific case, it was because the noise from the game Nephew was playing kept waking up marxdarx when he was asleep, which should not have happened had the volume been where it was supposed to be. When he was told that he had to stop playing the game and play something quieter, he pitched a fuss. The fuss led to grounding from the game, which triggered the tantrum.

He's been having tantrum-reaction to a number of "You are not allowed to do this" things lately.
