Whee!! Operation update!

My father doesn't need an operation after all. They ran some tests, and he doesn't need an operation.

That must be a big relief. Operations are scary things.

Yes, probably more so for the rest of the family than for him, I think. He sometimes seems to have a child's faith in modern technology, which is only appropriate given that he's grown up with the stuff and seen the difference it can make. My mother is none so trusting, and this is more relief for her than it is for him.
