...to darthtall for helping me come up with the following fluff-filler-conversation-seed: "'We’ve decided that Howard Roark, in The Fountainhead, was really an Anne Rice vampire,' she said."
Well, I got started thinking that Jeannette would not be gossiping about the affairs of real people so much, and that she wasn't much for soap operas, but literature, and wanking therewith, was right in.
And then it was merely to come up with two horribly compatible in the wrong ways authors, and to realize that Ayn Rand and Anne Rice were perfect, and there we were.
You know, I'd never considered that. Neat. And I guess as an added note:
People keep saying that Ayn Rand justifies rape in Atlas Shrugged. That's not quite true. It's just that she has a loser fangirlish penchant for creating self-insertion characters.
Heh. I'll need to re-read both of those books now, of course... I have an irritating habit of not retaining much from horribly thick books that I read while in an interesting state of mind.
