Ow.

I am owwed by some of the web design principles as relate to me. I like my fanfic online, and I like it scrollable. I am a computer user.

*twitch*

I hate excessive clicking. If there are more than ten pages, even more than 5, I don't want to click through that.

Separate paragraphs with a blank line. Please. All- caps are evil. That Woman writes her e-mails in all caps. 'Blink' is not cute.

.pdf is for printing. Html is for reading. I like to read. I don't want to be forced to print, for I have no printer [and I must scream]...

Take
These broken links
And learn to surf again,
Learn to live so free,
And when we hear
The modem sing
The 403 will open up
And let us in.

Need to read Baudelaire. He translated Poe. I had not known that. Chunking may lead to loss of valuable information for those young readers too lazy-assed to read an actual book. That was one of the things lost in chunking.

I think the most annoying design flaw I can remember on a web page was to have the main links from the front page IN a picture on the page, in fuzzy writing - I'd completely overlooked it, and had to write the webmaster and ask to be told where the links were. I'd assumed it was some poetry... Then once I knew where the links were, I had to hold the mouse over the link and read where it was pointed at the bottom of the screen, since the writing wasn't clear enough for me to read.
