Damn, that cat's loud.

Shamash is crying about something. Maybe about the fact that I got petted and he didn't.

[livejournal.com profile] yaksha42 came over and gave me a backrub. Mmm, backrub. And then he snuggled up to me while I got a much-needed six-hour nap.

There's just no substitute fo the real thing. I bet Darkside isn't really the cuddling type, tho. He strikes me as being less physically open than that from things you've said.

That's just it, though.

Darkside *is* the cuddling type.

Just not with people who are only friends.

At the Halloween party, after noticing that I was far too tired to move or care about moving, when I was leaned up against him, he put up with it.

I've got the questionable advantage of having seen him with a girlfriend, and how he acts. And he's cuddly. And affectionate. Publicly. One day they bet each other that they wouldn't do any more than hold hands, to see who would be the first to crack. It was sooooooo sweet. They only failed to crack because they were both stubborn as hell. And they were holding hands a lot.

...He still doesn't need encouragement to hug her.

Yeah, it hurts a lot, especially when he offers her hugs, and then has to be practically threatened into letting me hug him (and not hugging back).

I can understand where Votaia's coming from.

I do think he has a right to set whatever boundaries he feels are necessary in order to maintain whatever he feels comfortable with in a friendship, but I think if you were a close friend IRL, I'd want to kick his ass, too.

It's somewhat better now that I've successfully translated what the hell he means by "Does anybody have a crowbar?" when I hug him.

It means that we're best friends.

...And he lets me hug him.

......and he's comfortable enough with it to joke about it.
