Karaoke!
Given that I'm me, I just have to hack things.
Nephew was given a drum machine. It has a headphone or speaker output, and a microphone input, and a verrry cheesy mono headphone/microphone combo thing.
I'm thinking: go to the dollar store, get two sets of headphones, and proceed to splice & dice a connector so that the output from, say, the CD player, can go into the drum machine.
This will be a Good Thing.

*chuckles* mono-1/8" jack to stereo 1/8" jack (if a stereo CD player), possibly in two pieces (a stereo cable and a mono plug adapter). Cheaper than two sets of headphones. :)

Fun with electronics.
I used to do things like this with FatherSir.

But I know that feeling - ignore me. :) I thought you were after a serious hookup there, as opposed to playing about with making your own. :) I enjoy the latter far too much to keep anyone /else/ from doing so.
*laughs*
Sorry, ladybright.
