Unfelicitous Combinations
Darkside had better never meet up with my high school best friend Shawn.
Why?
Darkside's heard far too much about Shawn, both with my words and with my silences. He hears the way I say things, and glows with anger, long after I myself had cooled down.
I took damage, those years, allowing myself to be a subset of another. I fear to make Darkside a subset of me: the phrase "my blonder half" could be indicative of me trying to do that. I don't want to do that. I never want to diminish him.
