Things that are necessary:
Not geekdom, but the ability to put up with it
A habit of making my light shine brighter just by being there
But I think the one thing that I would need someone to have, that is the hardest to find... faith.

It's something you could do in game, though.
Whenever someone gets on with the whole religious hypocrite act, you do a Word of God attack on them: all the pertinent holy books (and a few impertinent ones) fall out of the skies onto their head. If they are not knocked unconscious and/or killed immediately, they must roll a saving throw to see if they can avoid compulsively picking it up and reading the whole thing. (I think I made a few refinements: the original idea was just the clobbering.)
The one night I was actually staying up and reading the fucking Bible, I was high-fiving and giggling with the Holy Ghost the whole time. The whole 'mote in thine eye' thing? Put your own bloody oxygen mask on FIRST, baka. "A good idea."
And so it goes...

For example, I have never seen a unicorn. This does not mean that unicorns do not exist; this does not mean that unicorns do not exist. It means that if there are unicorns, they are somewhere that I have not been looking when they were/are there, if there are any anyway. The more places I look and fail to find them, the smaller the probability that there are any.
