Darkside's still my best friend. As I log more time with friends, they become closer, or not. I've already reached a comfortable level of intimacy with many of my friends, and that's likely where it'll stay, without major changes. As it stands, I have a need for a friend I can spend 8+ hours a week with, who I'm mentally and energetically intimate with, and who I'm physically comfortable with. I have no candidates.

Physical intimacy doesn't equal physical comfort, either. I'm physically most comfortable with Darkside and

ralmathon. When sparring with Darkside, I'm likely to wind up in some of the most amusing positions, because I don't particularly need to keep track of what it looks like I'm doing, or where I'm putting my elbows other than for safety reasons. We're not the kind of friends who get naked with each other, but I'm more comfortable getting my ass kicked by Darkside than I am making love with someone else, often...
