Thank you for your fucking help

Trying to look for a new power cable for my laptop. Dell's website is distinctly unhelpful. On the phone, on hold, having a fucking merry old time of it.

To add to the joy, the service barcode ... this is a laptop that gets a lot of use. The barcode was on non-durable surfacing on the bottom. It's over a year old.

Guess how the bar-code has gone bye-bye. Fucking service code.

if its a latitude go to the fn-f2 setup screen the bios like screens where you can config stuff.

on my old laptop it had it there.

I hate Dell's website. You can be armed with every fact about your system: their model #, your 2 different ID #'s, one being the service code, the name of every component, and still not learn diddley dick about your problem. Don't they use Ask Jeeves technology? Arg! Sorry, you struck a nerve. I build my own systems, but I was administering a small office of Dell only PCs, so I sympathize.
