"I hope that I get old before I die"

Remembered, all of a sudden, a palm reading that was done to me late one evening.

I want to get my novel finished and published before I'm 35.

I would like to get other, more serious things, written and in polished form both sooner and slightly later than that.

If I'm stoned to death by the world of critics, I hope my writing will outlive me, and I want it the best it can be before I die of it.
