Complete tangent: I'm rereading a series in which "catalyst for change" is not necessarily a positive thing. It's used at one point as a descriptor of the main character, who gets fairly resoundingly trashed by life throughout the series. Your use of the phrase made me twitch for a second before I realized that you didn't mean all of the pain and suffering and continuing through despair connotations the phrase has for me.

In this case, it feels like a neutral thing, and the people having change can make of it what they may. Hopefully they'll be positive...
