For those just tuning in... Filters, opt-in
I have two interesting opt-in filters that give a little more content in my journal. They are BDSM and Witchy. These are mostly for my comfort that I do not babble something very technical of non-interest (or anti-interest) to a general audience.
BDSM explores some of my thoughts/enthusiasms on the topic, and the squicked by the concept can avoid opting in and therefore will never stumble across anything interesting. (People who list BDSM in their interests list tend to get added by default.) If you're not in, or not sure if you're in, and want in, say so; if you think you might have gotten in and don't want to be in, by all means let me know. (I tend to mark special-filter posts "# = BDSM", so it's hard to miss them.)
My experiences are still very vanilla, and I doubt I'll ever get very heavily into the 'scene', but... eh, it's fun. And... !!!
The Witchy filter generally gets used for details that I'm not comfortable talking to the mundane public about. Qualifications for entry: a general interest/curiousity in the topic, and a lack of being flamey. Questions, even critical ones, are all OK. "YUO R ALL G0ING T0 H3LL U STOOPID DEVAL WHORSHIPPORS" is not. More witchy stuff goes out of the filter than BDSM stuff goes out of that filter; it's a matter of degree. There's so little of the one, and so much of the other... Apply if you want. Weird Stuff abounds.

'Witchy', in this household, usually refers to most things nonmundane, rather than any specific religion. Thus, even my best friend Darkside is 'witchy', although he's actually Christian.

If you don't add me to both at once, I shall lick you to within an inch of your life!
[Of course, being a kitty, I shall probably do so anyway. I have sandpaper tongue! Fear me! **giggle**]
