What is the strangest/most embarrassing thing you've ever done to get someone's attention?

Fell down while walking and reading a book. On purpose. Picked myself up, said, "That'll teach me to walk and read," planted the book back in front of my face, and walked off.

I was 18 at the time, and it was to get the attention of my drunken computer science major.

Don't know if this counts as strange, but it certainly worked!

Scene: Renfaire after hours. I'm sitting on the tail of a truck. Tom comes up to me and asks me to move so he can put his shoes on. My response was:

"No. I want you at my feet."

He blinked, smiled, and dropped to the grass.

Gods, I do strange things on a random daily basis for the attention. I'm borderline histrionic, I just don't talk about it much; as long as I know it and recognize it, and channel it toward positive things, I figure it's all right. I try and make sure I use it to amuse people and brighten their day, and try to channel it *away* from the constant "in your face" attitude I used to have. I used to go out of my way to be the weird person, really. In school and such.

I don't know how the hell I can be shy and a show-off at the same time, but there it is anyway...I skip down the halls at a medical school on a regular basis, just to watch people look at me funny, and laugh, and know that I made a few of the most stressed people on earth smile. I do consider it part of my job to be silly at the office, because it entertains my co-workers. I like to go out of my way to make them smile, because they need it. I have the least stressful job, and I'm the weirdest one of them, so I'm the best one to be silly and make the rest of them smile. I can tell that it helps.

I don't know that I've ever done anything strange or embarrassing to get an individual, specific person's attention though. *shrug* I find I'm capable of getting people's attention just *fine* just by talking to them. I'm rather...striking...when I try to be. ^_^

Around fourteen, I decided that my purpose in life was for comedy. This later evolved into more of a 'sacred clown' thing, as that was my general idea starting out, I just hadn't the words for it.
