It feels like I'm meeting more of the people I'm supposed to be meeting. iroshi. sithjawa. nalidoll. gremliness. And they're meeting each other, in places.

And it's Working.

What, exactly, I'm not sure. But it does.

There is nothing wrong with fear. Fear is perfectly natural. I wouldn't want to do anything Really Big without my normal partner at my back, either. How many cops would want to be in the thick of it when things are going down without their partner? How many soldiers want to be stuck in the middle of a new platoon right before enemy action? That's *normal* to want the partner that you're used to working with, that you can Trust, and whose instincts, reactions, and abilities you know at an instinctual level.

That's not weak. And Knowing Yourself is never, ever the wrong thing, even when it is weak. Even if it *were* a weakness (which this isn't), it's always better to know where your weaknesses are, to be able to protect them, and play to your strengths.
