Not a good trend

Despite my best early-morning-scurry efforts, I was late for Database.

This may be one of my struggling-classes.

What are they teaching Database on? Oracle, MySQL, or something else?

Oracle. This is our second database class (we are to have a few more); the first one was an introduction to SQL using MS Access.

Access is an introduction to SQL? I suppose if you go in and look at the SQL that Access generates, it is. I take it, then, that you're on track to get some sort of database-related job?

We had to go into the back and type the SQL ourselves; access was just a relatively gentle tool to learn how to type SQL in. We can just open the program and type, and we can set up the DB graphically, rather than by hand. Easy for learning baby queries.
