Oooh lovely.

Little Fayoumis' class was exposed to chicken pox today.

Everyone here's had it... except [livejournal.com profile] votania's had it twice. Bad both times.

I've never had chicken pox but been exposed to it numerous times.

Am getting innoculated this weekend cause my goddaughters just got it.

"They" said that it's highly like that I was one of the lucky ones and had a sub-clinical case of chicken pox. In other words, I had it but never broke out in sores or whatnot. But "they" also said that although the chicken pox antibodies are present in my blood, I don't have quite enough to be immune.

And I've heard that people who get it later in life suffer most miserably.... and are prone to have recurring outbreaks of shingles (form of CP?) Oh joy.

Very evil, as a kid you are usually just miserable and then recover(gotta avoid aspirin though, as it can trigger Reyes Syndrome), but as an adult it can be lethal.

Ummm... no, I meant to say that I'm getting innoculated because my cousins kids just got it.

It was late and I was thinking about them.... sorry.

The incubation time is supposed to be 14-16 days, with cases as soon as 10 and as late as 21 days.
So you have time to prep for it.
