Some random advice from a mom,

Get some liquid lysol disenfectant and have him soak in a tub full of warm water with a capful in it. Also, if he is really really itchy, get some aveeno to bathe in (you can use this with the lysol in it depending on how he feels) Calamine lotion is a goodness and even neosporin depending on how big the sores are. It will preven air getting to the itchy bits and thus they will itch less.
