Yes, and there's a fascinating argument going on about vaccines. I'm glad to see someone else arguing my side of the case - I know better than to get into an argument with a vaccination evangelist. *evil grin* I work with doctors - I know that vaccination is like a religious sacrament to them. They don't get logical about it, they get religious *fervor*. (You know the old saying about not discussing religion and politics in polite company? I put medicine under religion until I'm shown that the person I'm talking to does not worship their doctors...most people do.)

I really need a new copy of
this book
.

heh...yeh, I may not be able to argue worth a damn, but something like that just set me off.

I like how you categorize that though...lumping medicine under religion like that, I'll have to remeber that.

The chickenpox vaccine always struck me as a treatment in search of a disease(not quite, but you get the idea). Most of the childhood vaccines are for crippling or lethal diseases, not something that usually makes you miserable and you recover. I want to say(but need to check) that more kids actualy contract Polio every year(including a girl in my sisters class in school) from the vaccine, than die from chickenpox every year(the number is under 100)

Check out the book I linked to, then. You'll adore it. The title is Confessions of a Medical Heretic. :)
