I think that the LJ communities that are for "Oh, look at me, I'm gorgeous, and if you're ugly, you can't be in this community" are terribly shallow.

However, if the only thing I had going for me was my looks, and nothing else -- not brain, not personality, not being friendly, not any useful skills -- not anything -- I'd probably be shallow too.

Now, first let me state that one aspect of Asperger's syndrome *is* a problem with face recognition, so this may not be true for anyone else, but...you know, he bears a *startling* resemblance to Darkside, to me. Not, you know, a lookalike. But close enough to be, like, brothers. He resembles Darkside. :D

So yeah, good looking. ^_^

Not to my personal taste (which runs more along the lines of plump Irishmen rather than tall thin men), but definitely I can see the hottieness.

I don't consider Darkside conventionally attractive at all. I consider him beautiful because he is/should be mine.

Yeah, I wrote a bit about that a month or two ago when I discovered one of those communities. It wierded me out that people were essentially using LJ to recreate high school clique culture. Freaky. Was rather scary to go and look at people being so mean and shallow. Yick.
