Silliness

Called Darkside this morning to let him know stuff. He's waiting for an important phone call. Asked him when a good time to call back was. He asked me had hell frozen over yet, then immediately let me know he was joking, and calling him when he got home from work around nine might be a good maneuver.

Nice to hear his voice. He was smiling throughout the exchange. I don't see that smile on him so often anymore. It's his "I have a friend" smile.

Midnight

digitalambience dropped by last night, quite late. We spent some time chilling and talking over stuff. Eventually, we got silly. It was my declaring that I would tie his nose up in dental floss, and proving that I could, that started the silliness. I told him some stories from elementary school, then dove for The Truth to get that quote about drugs and chemicals. The "actual nose" quote cracked us both up: he toppled on the floor laughing.

We were both pretty zonked, so I laid out the cushions that used to belong to the couch there on the floor for him, where he crashed, and I took the bed.

In the BS section, I did come up with an idea: try to re-create Brainwash soda. From a home-brew perspective. The implications are eerie.

We also discussed what to give the older two of Nephew's cousins, that would delight them while being truly evil. I wound up thinking perfume and body glitter, packaged in the messiest way possible. Heh, heh. We figured out that the way to make wrapping paper that would disintegrate all over upon opening would be to cut tissue paper into 1¹/₂" strips, fan them out into a circle, then wrap the package in that. It would be a lovely effect, as well as messy. The iridescent white tinsel was also a delightful thought, for padding inside, just to make it all pretty.

The new Linux box of marxdarx has had his name discovered: Chronos.

Brewed up a nice 20 oz. bowl of scented, colored, glittery lotion. This lotion has the magical properties of exorcising, cleansing, and protecting, as well as instilling peace.

Guess what Jewel and Jade are getting for Christmas?

Keep the nightlight on

Called Darkside. We talked about stuff. He's off on the day of the movie from his paid job, and is working until noon with his internship. Therefore, it might be possible to arrange going together to see The Two Towers together.

We'll see.

Tree

We have a tree now. It's not as tall as last year's was. I am delighted. The house will now begin to smell of all things that are Yule.

Next on the list: oranges to stick cloves in. Mmmm.
