Ooo, baby slings in custom fabric!

A friend just discovered that http://www.rockinbabysling.com/ will do custom fabric baby slings, and let you supply the fabric! You have to specifically ask for it, but that's still a delight!

... No, I'm not pregnant.

Helping V get set up on Tigereye. Hot geek guys at Fry's are a bonus.

Homework

One of the things I like best about this job is that I do not get homework from it. I do not get a boatload of things to stew over while I am supposed to be on my own time.

I like this. Homework was my very least favorite part of school.

Ye little suffering godlings, wireless is a pain.

I was lulled into a false sense of security with wireless networking when working with XP. This thing has everything built in to the OS, and it practically sets itself up for you. Right now I'm doing the Security Tapdance of Doom in trying to get Tigereye wireless. I have a shoulder tension problem and I feel like I'm about to start either cursing or hexing things. (And I'm not a Potterverse witch, I'm a mundanespace witch.)

Weather is massively windy. I now have Hermione hair. I do like monsoon season. I am finally starting to pick up Spanish.

...

What the bloody buggering fuckweasel was that? I poke at the new wireless doohicky, and nothing happens. Then I install the wired NIC and plug that in. I have connectivity.

Then I take a good solid look and realize that the LAN connection with the activity is not the wired one, but the fucking wireless.

I disable the wired NIC.

Connection up and going strong.

What. The. Fuck. ?!?!?!?

Next step: plugging the NIC that V got from a friend (for free) back in and playing about with it to see if it'll cooperate too now that the D-Link wireless is working.

I don't know how that conspired to make it do something, but ... holy fuck. Wholly fucked. Sheesh.
