This is going to sound silly. Really damn silly.


How do I go about coming off as less of a pushover to my best friend? Because he thinks I'm an utter pushover. And where he's concerned, I may be. How do I show him how truly strong I am?

I'm not entirely sure that that's terribly important in the Grand Scheme. I mean, sooner or later he's going to figure it out based on how you are with everything (and everyone else) except him, and perhaps he'll even realize that the strength, where he's concerned, is more subtle, and oh yeah, he had a sense of that all along but couldn't put a finger on it.

I'm trusting my instincts, because I did a reading on a Mercury retrograde, which happens to bring up the subtler stuff for me, with eerie accuracy.

No problem. I just had to mention that, without any other context, it seemed a little weird to me. But if Instinct is involved, well, heck... it must be followed.

It's one of a few major components of the reason we're not together, actually. He doesn't want to stomp on me.

That's a definite factor.

If he did not love me so much, he wouldn't worry about that. If he did not know so well that he was capable of damaging me, he wouldn't worry. What he needs to be proven is that I will never take damaging advice on something that is important, now, and that I know that he would never deliberately harm me, though he may accidentally say wrong things.

Hrm. You might start by stopping being such a pushover to him. On the minor things, he doesn't *want* to be able to push you over all the time. He wants you to have an opinion. Had the problem myself with my own bestest, and he knew I was strong with everyone else.
