I anticipate a flaming row with Darkside, on the issue of my self-esteem, my weight, his sense of beauty, his self-esteem, and so forth.

As an additional arguing point, if we really do get going, I may well bring up the topic of that unwritten letter to him. Of course, bringing that one up in a row is fighting exceptionally dirty, but I know I've got to talk about that with him sooner or later, and ... I may not have the courage to mention it when we're both calm, peaceful, and relatively happy with each other.

I have no idea of the timing of this event; I just know it's been brewing for some time. The latest clue came when he made what was intended to be a joke, a week or more ago, and I burst out crying instead of giggling at it.

Might I suggest that either you bring up that unwritten letter to him in a calm, peaceful, relatively happy with each other time or not at all?

It seems that if you bring it up during an argument, it's going to be taken rather badly and I suspect you don't that even more than I don't want that for you.

Quite all right.

I think I've only mentioned the unwritten letter once on LJ, and that was anonymously, as the implication of the contents is drastic and evil, while the text of the letter refers to an in-joke that he and I share about me not being able to accompany him into the mens' room.

Mkay.

Though with this, I'm more likely to ask iroshi, since she knows both of us better, and this is likely to get into areas of his psyche that he would strongly prefer to remain as unshared as possible, areas that she already knows, or has already guessed at.

But for *venting* about it... hehe.
