Slim and slender are just as genetically unlikely for some of us as skinnyskinny. My pelvic bone is a size 10, and when I diminished food intake to get down to the size of my pelvic bone, I was a very unpleasant person.

I don't need to know why you call him Mr. Shallow now. He's a total sphicternugget.

The odd thing, though, is that when he and I *aren't* disagreeing about his taste in women, he's a real gem of a friend, which is why I sort his Mr. Shallow side from his everyday self. He'd never request of a woman that she lose weight; he just wouldn't date her.
