Housework

Washed dishes. The unloading of dishes is not part of my chore list, and so I can feel at least marginally OK about not doing that. The new batch of dishes to be washed are ready for me to load in as soon as the dishwasher becomes unloaded.

The kitchen floor is swept.

Vacuuming is Someone Else's Responsibility today.

The catboxes I'll likely get later tonight.

I may go around the house with the bottle of glasscleaner, as Tuesday and Thursday were swapped out thanks to [livejournal.com profile] votania's days off being swapped, and this would put me on glasscleaner duty two days in a row; Wednesday/Friday's a better spread. Still have yet to figure out what all the things that require glasscleaner are.

Apart from the obvious of mirrors, windows, glass picture frames and glass shower doors, I have found glass cleaner works very well on faucets and the like (mainly by accidentally dripping said fluid all over chrome in bathtub while cleaning said shower doors...). ... After having tried just about every other cleaning fluid known to mankind to clean the darned things (with inevitably LOUSY results). Hmmmmmmmmm, the stuff to make things shiny makes faucets shiny. Why did it take me so long to figure this out?????? I hear you can clean stoves with it too, though I shudder to think of what happens when the stuff gets hot. My ex swore by it to kill ants and flies, but as far as I could tell, it just dazed them (and gave the human occupants of the room a slight buzz if used in sufficient quantities in a vain attempt to kill vermin). [But then again, I only dust when the dustbunnies become Monty-Pythonesque. If they don't take a swipe at me, I generally don't take a swipe at them, unless my mother is coming to visit. Why does it surprise me when I have allergies?]

Hmmmm. Does it strip all the finish off?

That stuff doesn't eat the chrome (or whatever it is the fixtures are made of)?
