It physically seems to make sense, but I don't think they'd work well together. Taura's a quiet romantic. Hagrid's an exuberant bumbler. I think she could learn to like being shown blast-ended skrewts instead of given roses, but it would be hard on her, and he'd probably think her to be insufficiently vivid. Smiles and long walks just aren't cool animals.

Hagrid and what's-her-name from Real Genius might work well.

I think that perhaps Hagrid could be convinced to go for romance, as it would definitely be The Way To Keep This Unique Creature Happy.

And I think that Taura can be vivid, too, but that she gentles herself somewhat for Miles, because she's still afraid of breaking him.
