The Filling:
- 1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose to live? Why?
- As always, it's not so much about the place as it is about the people. I started out in Fairbanks, Alaska; I wound up in Phoenix, Arizona. That's just about the two extremes. Either can be made habitable by the simple application of resources and technology to create and/or summon shelter, water, food, and heat/cold. I love Alaska's beauty, and I miss it horribly -- and I suspect that when I return, I'll miss the clear black skies on the warm nights, miss the baking heat and the flowering trees, miss the cacti, and the birds...
But it really comes down to the people. I could live without seeing the aurora borealis again, though it would break my heart. I would have a worse time adjusting to life without Darkside near enough to catch a bus and collapse into the arms of... - 2. What did you want to be when you grew up?
- I think I have wanted to be a teacher the longest. Rather, it wasn't "wanted to", as there wasn't that level of uncertainty to it. I knew I was going to be, and that was that. As I grew up more, I realized that there were other possibilities, and I think my brain exploded, and I didn't know what I wanted, except that it would involve lots of books, hopefully.
- 3. In a perfect world.....
- ...What can I say? I'm madly in love. In a perfect world, Darkside would have come to the inevitable realization already, or at least be more advanced on his way to realizing.
Also, there would be no such thing as AOL or G.W. Bush. - 4. If you could have been someone in history, who would you have been?
- I rather admire Rosa Parks, for staying seated. I'm just fucking stubborn enough to pull something similar if someone pissed me off enough. Though likely I wouldn't make the news.
- 5. What do you think your friends say to each other when you're not around?
- I'd imagine that they'd carry on conversation as usu-- Oh. You mean, say about me when I'm not around. Um.
Most likely, something along the lines of, "She's a loony but we love her," though more or less bashing of my head into the wall in effigy might occur depending on how hyper I've been lately, and how much I've been drooling over Darkside.
