Tea Candy

swallowtayle decided to post the recipe for river water. I thought about making some, but then decided to make tea candy instead.

4 bags of Lipton's tea
1 bag of Orange Zinger
appx. 1 cup water
Boil the bejeezus out of this combination.

Add enough sugar to give your eyes a sugar overload (I think it was 3 to 4 cups) and 1/2 cup margerine or butter. Stir until supersaturated syrup, on an appropriate heat setting.

Boil until it reaches the hard-crack stage, and then put on a buttered sheet of waxed paper. (I forgot to butter mine, which means the candy is sticking to the paper.)

Yum.

Were you there when Shawn and I were making Joe Black? I have such fun with my wacky kitchen adventures. Oh, and the CDs in the microwave...

So that's where I first learned of that! For the longest time I have dazzled people with my AOL CDs, but I could never remember who had taught it to me. I think that Josh was with me in your room that night when you showed us?

I don't remember Joe Black, however :P Tell me about it.

We were hanging in Josh's room, and you guys were playing that one game, the one where everybody was in it, and kicking ass, and Josh's room was so trashed, and there were all those burned CDs that had failed scattered all over, and we used his microwave. Ah, the good ol' days.

Joe Black was this evil coffee thing that Shawn was making. He took a lot of shots of espresso, and then we boiled out some of the water, and added instant coffee and some powdered caffiene pills. It was fucking evil. When I had a spoonful, it was after way too much lack of sleep, and I zonked out unconscious...
