In the o.O department...

Feminine woes. Garlic. You get the picture.

Pretty placid for someone so shocked...

Anyway, yah, I read about that.

You're not going to post this to LJdrama, are you?

Aye, that (http://www.ljdrama.org).

And I just dropped her another line, something to the effect of "Well, shoot, Devi, your cooter's a meme now". It's good that she takes almost anything in stride.

oh. dear. god.

I knew you can't use a lot of garlic in yeast bread, as it will kill the yeast, and then there's the whole freak thing with me in that I kill yeast if I touch it (thank god for bread machines) and have never had any class of yeast infection (or strep or thrush) one of the few things I'm very fortunate and extremely grateful for!

I want to know what she was smoking!

Smokin'? Nothing! I'm just sick of shelling out 17 bucks every time I get a yeast infection. Which has been happening about once a month.

The garlic did work... but then, I suppose that boric acid works, too.

actually, boric acid, diluted properly, is pretty safe..my aunt used to use a mild dilution in her eyes every day to deal with the allergy goop. If it won't sting your eyes.....hee..actually, I think that's probably the first question I'd ask, would this sting my eyes? if it would, it ain't going nowhere else!

Is it related to your menstrual cycle? Mine was for a while. I think the Pill encouraged it. Loose pants and undies, pantiliners that I changed a few times a day, occasional ice, and sleeping legs apart without anything on or over my crotch helped a lot. Men's pants have much more crotch room than women's. If you do the ice thing, wrap it in a towel or several layers of paper towel, and sit over something that doesn't mind drips.

It's related to the birth control I'm on. They switched me to another brand, but that aggravated my depression to the point where I became suicidal. So I'm back on the other pill, and itching away.
