1. Describe your sex toy collection. *grin*

2. Why Paganism? Why is it the thing for you? How do you practice it in everyday life?

3. How did *you* find The Sith Academy?:)

4. Why does polyamory work for you? How does it work in your life (in practice)? You see, I've got a couple of friends who are into it but I'd like to hear more about it, real life experiences:).

5. Why "A Metaphor Gone Metastatic"? It's such a cool expression:D. I could use it to describe my writing:P...

1. Describe your sex toy collection. *grin*

Heh, heh. Okay.

  • A white vibrator, maybe 8" long, with a very narrow shaft (maybe half an inch in diameter) with an oval tip that's bent and significantly wider than the shaft. Takes 2 AA batteries. One of my favorites.

  • "The Clue Stick": a large unpowered dildo, maybe 6" insertable length, made out of a soft blue material similar to that jelly stuff, but tougher and less squishy, with a flexible/bendable core that holds its shape fairly well. Widens at the base, and is shaped for a good grip, and even has a string handle.

  • "Mr. Wiggles": an orange jelly dildo, unpowered, about 7" long, shaped like that kids' stacking toy where you put the rings on the pole.

  • A short white vibrator dildo, about 3/4" diameter, 7" long. 2 AA batteries. I don't use it much.

  • An interesting gimmicky number with two parts: the inner vibrating bit and a clear outer bit in the classic "rocket" dildo shape, about 8" long and 2" diameter. The idea is, you fill up the outer part with water of a desired temperature, then put it back together, and you have either hot or cold as well as the vibration. Mostly I use the inner bit on the clit. 2 AA batteries.

  • An interestingly-shaped vibrator: about 4" long, with a very very narrow shaft and a wide oval head, kind of like a very large bullet-vibe lollipop. This is my only remaining unit of the type that has a control box and a wire to the actual vibrator. 2 AA batteries, and despite what looked like a dial adjuster, only one speed. Loud.

  • A 1/2" wide, 6" long orange jelly attachment for one of the bullet vibes I don't have anymore. Horizontal ridges. Tapers at the tip. Fits the glow-in-the-dark vibe, actually.

  • The glow-in-the-dark vibe: external unit, one of the pocket rocket style, only takes 2 AA batteries instead of the one. Off/on. Loud.

  • One of those kids' toy vibrating pens. Not used as pen.

2. Why Paganism? Why is it the thing for you? How do you practice it in everyday life?

Many established forms of Christianity don't exactly embrace magic. My father brought me up to respect the changing of the seasons; we had very nice Solstice parties. I needed a religion that would not put God in a box, and would happily accept magic.
In everyday life, I light candles for this and that, play with energy, note the rising and setting of the sun, note the phase of the moon, and say Hi to Raven whenever I see Him. Sometimes we have pizza together.

3. How did *you* find The Sith Academy?:)

Someone in the e-mail version of [livejournal.com profile] lmbujold linked it, and I was hooked.

4. Why does polyamory work for you? How does it work in your life (in practice)? You see, I've got a couple of friends who are into it but I'd like to hear more about it, real life experiences:).

I'm generally in love with someone all the time. Often, that's someone who I can't have. If I'm to have any sort of relationship at all other than unrequited and my own imagination, polyamory is the only way to go about it without cheating on someone who'd never date me. So far, my only practical actual-relationships thing was when I had a boyfriend ([livejournal.com profile] yaksha42) and then took up with my Pretty at the same time. It also worked well when another girl was in love with the same unavailable guy I was; we joined forced in adoring him, and wound up engaged to each other.

5. Why "A Metaphor Gone Metastatic"? It's such a cool expression:D. I could use it to describe my writing:P...

It's from Lois McMaster Bujold's book A Civil Campaign, where one of her viewpoint characters describes how he wound up with multiple personalities. "They can do that, under enough pressure..." As I'm a fan, and multiple, it felt right.

1. Okay. So I turned to tables on ivan23's question, "choose one word to define the essence of femininity, explaining why you feel that way," asking him to choose a word for femininity instead of masculinity. Now I want the other side of the coin. Tell me what one word you'd choose to define the essence of masculinity, explaining why you feel that way.

2. Let's say that cloning has advanced to the point where they could make a perfect replica of you, right down to duplicating your memories and experiences, and even personality. Now you and your clone spend a year apart, having completely different lives and experiences on different sides of the country. What would be the first question you would ask your clone when you reunite at the end of that year? (I mean, besides, "So, what'd you do?" Assume you've already filled each other in on that.)

3. What's the worst mess you've ever made as an adult?

4. Is it more tragic to never feel passion (not necessarily the "in love" kind) in one's lifetime or to feel it for someone completely inappropriate for you and unable or unlikely to ever return it? (ex: married &/or monogamous person)

5. Assuming you had all of the positions' full powers, would you rather be President of the United States or the Pope for a year? Why?

Boldness. Not the font thing, but the emotion. Hunter-gatherer style: going out and hunting is a bold thing to do. Possibly dangerous, but something to be done anyway. It is what testosterone is good for. Hitting on chicks in bars? Bold. Not necessarily smart, but bold. Most sports are good examples. Even the male-dominated intellectual pursuits are full of a feeling of taking a challenge and wrestling it to the ground.

"Do you think you can stand me, or should we split up again?" I don't think we'd get along well together.

3. What's the worst mess you've ever made as an adult?

I'll take the physical extension of that, rather than emotional, since I don't feel like harping on That Idiot Shawn again.

That would have had to have been the cabin I shared with BJ and his best friend back when I was engaged to BJ. They made most of the mess, but I contributed, and especially I couldn't force them to clean up. Crumbs. Papers. Empty wrappers. Things all over. Things growing mold. Eeek! Plus a cat. Scary. There were doritos inside the computer, for fuck's sake.

4. Is it more tragic to never feel passion (not necessarily the "in love" kind) in one's lifetime or to feel it for someone completely inappropriate for you and unable or unlikely to ever return it? (ex: married &/or monogamous person)

I'd say that misplaced passions are the ones best inclined to tragedy. It's a strong pity to never feel passion, but if you can't get all excited over it, you're a rather poor tragic hero/heroine. A Grand Passion in an inappropriate place is the cause of so many nasty tragedies.

5. Assuming you had all of the positions' full powers, would you rather be President of the United States or the Pope for a year? Why?

Papal Infalliability.
Besides, the Presidency is mired in red tape, and the US has built up quite a good deal of worldwide dislike. I would probably clean house with some priests, condone the Pill, and turn the entire religion on its ear.

Oh! Yes, I completely meant a physical mess, not emotional.
