I've heard that term, but it's not something you'd expect to see in general use.
I can't remember, offhand, what it means. A quick search shows a definition in the Jargon File, which makes it extremely hard to find any other usage, since there's so many copies of that around, and they're so heavily linked to.
Googled, with some precautions to prevent scads of Jargon File entries, and got the E2 node after a little clicky linky, which makes it clear that it meant what I thought it did.
I have a bookmark in Safari's bookmarks bar that's a little javascript snippet that pops up a dialogue box and bundles what I type off to E2. (And another for dictionary.com, that I should delete because I never use it anymore, and one for an IMDB title search. Used to have one for Google, but Safari has a built-in search box for that.)
