I'm not currently being very nice to him. He's being self-centered and whiny, and I'm concentrating on that (ahhh, the joys of unreliable narrators) rather than what he's physically going through.
Severus peered down the length of his nose, a look that usually put the fear of God--or, more efficiently, the fear of Snape--into whoever was on the other side of the desk.
Blaise Zabini, however, was no usual student, and countered with his usual "I'm thinking at right angles to reality" smile. Severus just shook his head. "I'm not going to explain my reasons, Zabini. I'm just going to lay down the law. You may not award points for 'slackfulness'. *Whatever* that is."
