Public Service Announcement: State of the Journal

Am swapping over to S2. Readers please not to be alarmed at the frequent shifts in color, especially the frequent shifts in color of the vocabulary of the Lunatic.

... especially the frequent shifts in color of the vocabulary ...

I suspect we will not be alarmed even by off-colour vocabulary.

Unless you put the formatting tags into your posts, they won't affect what shows up on people's friends pages. :o)

Just changing the style only affects your own pages.

Aaah, yes. I hadn't thought of that.

I wish they'd get around to implementing the override for S2 comment views. I'd rather have them all be the same (for me) than have them match people's journals, after all the comment pages are the only places where I see your style, I read journals through my friends page, which uses my own style.

You can't get the source of this style, at least not yet. It uses some special stuff (like javascript that wouldn't normally work/be allowed, or something, and iFrames) that normal styles can't. Part of its paid-user-only charm, I guess.

I have to agree with you. Reading comments and suddenly being thrown into someone's style format is extremely jarring, and not something I'm used to, as it only started happening recently, and I never know when it's going to happen. So far it's only on 'Song and Azz's journals, I think...

I've had LJ friends who switched to S2 styles which support comment view a while ago...

Apart from being disconcerting, it's annoying since they lack the same navigation features as a normal comment page. I like being able to switch to my journal from a read comments page...
