How did you get the individual components to show and personalize them? I am familiar with the new component style (and have been testing it over on the test server - http://test.livejournal.org/users/theredhead1/), but when I try it on my regular journal (permanent account) I do not have all of the options available that are on the test server. I only see Color, Other, and Text tabs/options. Just curious.

They have Layout, Color, Presentation, Text, and Links tabs currently.

Thanks - I figured out the problem (which was with my browser, annoyingly enough) and have managed to switch my journal over and personalize it.

I've been just over tweaking my settings a little.

Yes, I've been tweaking as well *smile* Time to add some additional links and see what else has changed in this style in the last 2 weeks while I've been busy at work. I've been wondering if we will be able to customize our Friend's pages separately from our main pages. Maybe they will allow some other changes as well fonts and sizes, bolding of titles, things like that. What else would you like to have control over?

Definitely font & size; I'd also like to be able to force the main entry components bit to remain the size it's supposed to be (2/3 of the page or whatever it is) and have an individual entry that is too wide have a scroll bar at the bottom, and not the whole friends page.

I agree - I hate it when my entire Friends page is altered due to a single too wide entry. I certainly get tired of scrolling back and forth.

The Free Text Component has real potential. I'm leaning toward a Thought of the Day type thing *smile*

I would also like to be able to change the 'Previous' and 'Next' text.

I hope they change the User Info page to the style they have on the test server soon.

I have a friends filter, "Not (page size)" for just that application. But that means I have to find, and filter out, the offender each time.
