Silly question -- LJ code street value

So, what is the street value of an LJ code? I'd imagine it to be less than $5, as that's what a shortest-span paid account is, but some people might pay a buddy a little more to avoid the hassle of getting an official LJ paid account (dealing with The Man and all that shit).

So. What's an LJ code worth these days?

(No, this isn't a funky fundraising project. Just curiousity.)

Doesn't surprise me.

Beyond the usual thing with it breaking eBay's rules, and probably LJ's, there's lots of LJ codes around, and communities which give them away.

It's slightly harder to /find/ said communities, since they turned off interest searching for communities, but it's still possible.

Also... most people do come to LJ through a friend, and most people's friends would give them a code to start the journal.

In the same way that selling EverQuest 'platinum pieces' does...

It's not a real thing you're selling, it's data, and it's not data you own.
