Thngs that go bump n the late evenng
As you can probably tell from my spellng 'm wrtng ths from the actual eypad of my laptop versus the external eyboard that do nearly all of my typng from.
Why?
Because just had to update wth the results of my stuff-shufflng so far. n short bloced access to my worng eyboard and possbly broe my VCR.
Frst decded that wanted to have both of my computers on what used to as far as can tell be the DeVry help des. (Yes the comma eye and cay are mssng on ths laptop. The reader may nsert as necessary. The reason 'm usng ths eyboard rather than the external one wll be explaned shortly.)
For whatever nsane reason decded to clean out the lvng room some after 'd gotten the help des mostly cleared off. saw the old small TV sttng n there homeless. decded that there was room n my room and mght as well move t n whle was dong thngs. So pced up the TV whch had two VCRs and an antenna staced on top of t and started walng wth t nto my room. Unfortunately the antenna decded to snag on my Chrstmas lghts as waled nto the room and CRASH boom BANG there went not only the antenna fallng to the floor but both VCRs. Yees.
went to set the TV down qucly to fnd that the space 'd antcpated puttng t on was not TV-safe; the boards leaned up aganst the wall behnd the booshelf were gettng n the way. So had to set the TV down on my bed. Ths was a problem as the VCR was stll connected to t va the co-ax umbllcal cord. untangled and unplugged my spaghett and observed my carnage.
Ever seen the faceplate come off a VCR that's not ntended to have t removed qute n that fashon? Now have. t's not a pretty sght.
carefully moved the boards from behnd the booshelf. Now these boards are about as long as the room s tall so t's not exactly easy movng them around or storng them. leaned them aganst my current computer des that beng one of the only safe places to put them. Unfortunately ths bloced access to the slde-out eyboard and mouse tray.
fnally got the TV put where t was supposed to go and untangled the secondary VCR and set t on top. Then pced up the prmary VCR (the one that had had ts faceplate pop off) and too a good long sold loo at t.
poed ths and bumped that and got the thng that looed to be horrbly out of algnment bac nto place. poed all the button-bacs and heard that they clced. looed at the nfty way all the lghts were done. So cool. tred to snap the faceplate bac on but of course t would not snap. contemplated callng the help number on the VCR but decded that they would moc me wthout mercy and charge me for the servce. tred lnng t up agan and agan and agan.
After about the tenth try t snapped home.
We'll see what happens when plug t n...

But, reading your description was -- compelling.

There are two other VCRs in the household, those two in working order, so this is a less major inconvenience than it might be.
