It seems that the eject mechanism is not working correctly. This would likely be a problem, as Little Fayoumis's tape of Mulan is in there.

I had VCR 101 in electronics class... in high school. That was five years ago. Damn straight I don't remember much about it...

After removing the cover it is usually possible to manually work the tape/cassette mechanism enough to remove the jammed tape prior to transport to qualified maintenance. And, sometimes, the problem is obviously visible when the cover is removed, and can be corrected by any thinking human. Go for it!

The tape was removed. In this case, the solution isn't evident, though the problem seems to be the little plastic piece that got broken off and was rattling around loose inside.
