Earrings
I wanted pierced ears for a long time, and I remember that I pestered my parents about it.
Mama said No. So, after some discussion, I gave it up sadly.
Then at Christmas, I opened a little package from FatherSir, and was delighted when I saw tiny 14k gold birthdstone earrings... pierced earrings.
Thus, my father quietly overrode my mother.
