I don't know what's up with me lately. I just haven't been finding the time to get the sleep I obviously need.

This morning, I thought I'd slept enough... only to find myself looking like refried death until well after noon, and exhausted by six.

*sigh*

I haven't even been able to string very many coherent thoughts together in a row.

I have this terrible habit of staying up way too late (on a weeknight, when Uberkid needs to get to daycare at a reasonable hour, i.e., before the morning snack preferrably) and telling myself, "I'll just stay awake through morning and get the sleep I need when I get back home." It never works out that way, unfortunately. I end up in bed at 4AM; Uberkid wakes me at 6ish and... well, I can't outdo "refried death" (that's the PERFECT way to put it) so I won't. I look exactly like the badly coiffed walking dead when I try to get up and around on mornings like that one.

Only I usually call it quits around 3a.
