No iodine?
also: If any long walks may be required, like they might in a car-travel survival kit or a hiking survival kit, moleskin or duct tape.

I used to have an emergency kit but I gave it to my mom. She travels more than I do.

Mine tend to focus on wilderness survival, so I worry less about food (I know some about edible plants in California) and more on long-term water purification.

Now that I'm 21 I might also consider a small flask of everclear. It probably wouldn't completely replace the iodine (I wouldn't want to use something intoxicating to purify water) but one could also use it as a firestarter, or to aid skin cooling in some situations. It *could* be used to replace the hand sanitizer, in which case you *really* wouldn't want to drink it.

Oh, and aloe gel, or something similar. For burns, sunburns, bug bites, other rashes.
