endearments and accents...

So I was describing Mr. Prez to Darkside.

Lunatic: "So I saw this guy. Tall. Thin. Blond. Glasses. Shoulder length hair."
Maniac: "..."
Lunatic: "British accent."
Maniac, using legitimately-acquired British accent from when he was living there: "Go on, my dear girl..."

...*melts*

Just a figure of speech, but being casually called "my dear girl"... mmmf.

Then, I have taken to addressing him as "My dear best friend", which he doesn't argue with.

*chuckles quietly*

Yessssssss... I too have been known to melt under the almighty power of the British Accent...

It's ALWAYS about the accents

British is a good one. Kiwi makes me melt slightly faster. But I haven't talked to Joel in forever so I almost forgot what that sounds like. But my weakness, in in Scottish.

When mon ami starts with the Scottish (which generally comes out when he's drinking, flustered, or very emotional) I melt into an puddle of goop.

"I dinna ken if I'd frighten yeh off, lass."

What is it about the Scottish accent though? I mean really. It's just unbelieveable sexy.
