Cast of Characters, Continued
The Computers:
ENKI: The much-maligned, much ill-used box that provides our 'Net addiction's connection. Running W2K, with all the problems that implies. He's much calmer about stuff now, but still has to be rebooted forcibly: he freezes on shutdown. "Enki's being a dick again" is a household phrase.
Tigereye: my beloved laptop, a May 2000 Dell Latitude. Back up again after a new transformer and a new battery.
Red: Votania's personal machine, now finally running W2K, after unknown numbers of reinstallations of gods know what-all. An evil little thing. Short for Red Dragon.
Ishtar: Votania's palmtop, a Handspring Visor Neo. Has been successfully resurrected from crash programs.
Inanna: my palmtop, a Neo identical to Votania's. Had been contemplating naming her Trinity, but I suppose that'll be for the next one.
Two quasi-new Compaq Deskpro's, with Pentium II's, running Red Hat. Thank you soooo much,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
